Cognitive Biases (by MetalHatsCats) helps you explore thinking patterns and improve everyday decisions. This Policy explains what we collect and why, and your choices. By using our website and apps (the “Service”), you agree to this Policy. If you don’t agree, please do not use the Service.

Information you provide: email and basic profile if you create an account, feedback you send us, and optional in-app notes/checklists you add.

Automatically collected: device and usage data (e.g., app version, pages/screens viewed, time in app), crash/error diagnostics, and coarse location derived from IP for analytics.

Payments: handled by app stores or payment processors; we don’t store full card details.

Sensitive data: the app is educational and not intended to collect health data. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information in free-text fields.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide core features (content, progress sync, reminders).
  • Improve the Service via analytics and crash diagnostics.
  • Personalize content (e.g., surfaced topics, streaks).
  • Communicate about updates, support, and optional offers.
  • Enforce our Terms and protect the Service from abuse.

We don’t sell your personal data.
